Liam Hayes is a research assistant at the Australian National University working for Matt Stocks and Andrew Blakers in the 100% Renewable Energy group. He graduated from UNSW in 2018 with a combined Electrical Engineering and Physics degree.

His current research projects include modelling wind farm generation from weather forecast reanalysis and searching for brownfield pumped hydro energy storage sites.
