Generation I Big Dish solar concentrator

The ANU Generation I Big Dish solar concenrator had 387 m2 of mirror aperture area. At the focal plane it produces an average concentration of 900 suns over a disk with diameter 680 mm, and a peak concentration of 1,540 suns. Construction of this facility was completed in May 1993, and it first generated steam on sun in June 1994. It was decomissioned soon after the completion of the Generation II Big Dish in 2009.
